Spyglass

This modest condominium complex offers a chance to grab a beachfront, low-rise unit at an affordable price. Built in 1984, there are only 11 units in this two-story building. Spyglass is made up of two-bedroom units that may include a loft area for additional sleeping space. Each unit, which range in size from 600 square feet to 900 square feet, also has a pair of bathrooms. Kitchens are on the small side but include the necessary items and it opens up to the living room area. They may include granite countertops depending on renovation efforts. Space for an upright washer and dryer can also be found in the kitchen. Units may have balconies from the loft area, beach-facing balconies, as well as shared and private balconies with east-west views.

The units are raised allowing for covered, assigned parking. A small pool is located under the units and Spyglass sits in the sugar-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The condominium is a mile west from the “T,” the intersection of Highway 59 and 182, making Spyglass a comfortable distance from the hustle and bustle. But, it’s not too far to enjoy the many restaurant and retail locations Gulf Shores has to offer. To the east of condominium complex is the Sandpiper and directly to the west is a single-family home. The closest condominium complex to the west is the seven-floor Casa del Sol.
